For every age and every level

For every age and every level

Pilates is for all ages and every fitness level. Whether you're brand new or getting back into a routine, you'll fit right in.

Instructors who know your name

Instructors who know your name

Small classes led by instructors who adjust every movement to your body, so you get real attention, not a crowd.

More than a workout

More than a workout

Reformer, mat, barre and jump, plus yoga. It's not just exercise, it's a way of moving through life feeling stronger and more confident.

New to Pilates?

What Pilates actually is

No experience needed. Here's the short version before you pick a class.

The reformer, explained

A reformer is a sprung, sliding bed that adds both resistance and support to controlled movement, so you build strength without pounding your joints.

What a class feels like

Around 50 minutes of low-impact, full-body work focused on strength, control and mobility. You move at your own level the whole way through.

Reformer, mat and barre

Mat Pilates uses your own bodyweight on the floor; barre adds small, precise pulses; reformer jump adds cardio on the machine. Same principles, different feel.

Built for every body

It's genuinely for all ages and levels. Your instructor offers modifications throughout, so your first class is as welcome as your hundredth.

Reformer Pilates vs a regular gym workout

A gym workout moves at the room's pace and rarely adjusts for a stiff back or an old injury. A Beyond Pilates class is small enough that your instructor can adapt every movement to you, building strength, control and mobility that carry into everyday life. More than a workout, it's a lifestyle.

Our classes

A member's story

Patty's Transformation

Two years ago, Patty had a complicated relationship with exercise and with her own body.

Nearly two years and a huge variety of classes later, cardio barre and reformer jump have become her favourites, and something bigger has shifted.

I credit this studio with helping me to change my relationship with exercise and with my body.

Patty M., member for almost two years

Our story

It started with one bad back.

In 2014, Brad Nayfack's daughter Shakina introduced him to Pilates. Within weeks, the chronic back problems he'd lived with for years had eased.

That relief became a mission. He began building studios in 2015, and Beyond Pilates now runs ten across San Diego, every one built to be accessible, welcoming and instructor-led.
